Frederick J. Riley is as the National Director of Urban and Youth Development at YMCA of the USA where he helps support the development of policies, strategies and program models to assist local YMCAs to expand their capacity, presence, and position in low income and underserved communities with an emphasis on education, college access, mentoring and teen programming.

The nation’s 2700 YMCA’s annually serve over 22 million children and adults, through250,000 staff and 600,000 volunteers.

Frederick is extremely passionate about youth development. He has spent the past 12 years of his career ensuring a positive life trajectory for youth, specifically those within urban and underserved communities. Most recently, Frederick served as the Project Manager for Urban & Education Development at YMCA of the USA.

Before joining YMCA of the USA, he served at the Executive Director of Community and Government Affairs for YMCA of Southwest Illinois and has held a similar role within the Metro Atlanta YMCA and with the National Conference of Black Mayors.
