Mark Wattley, Divisional Vice President, leads HR Mergers and Acquisitions Strategy and Integration Services. Mark and his team work on all aspects of Human Resources strategy and services related to domestic and international mergers & acquisition activities across the Walgreens family of companies. Mark serves as strategic partner to the leadership team as well as the Mergers & Acquisitions leadership team, and is organizationally positioned to drive new and enhanced HR strategies and metrics.

Prior to moving into his new role, Mark was the Divisional Vice President, Business Strategy and Solutions Human Resources, leading the HR business partner (HRBP) team. In this role, Mark also managed the HR field organization supporting the Community Management retail division, and HR functions embedded within multiple acquired family of companies. This role also included oversight of the Sales Training and Development function that provided learning and development for the B2B sales organization.

Mark joined Walgreens in 1998 as a senior attorney in the Employee Relations department and then led HR for Walgreens Health Services and the Health & Wellness divisions. Prior to Walgreens Mark held positions as Employment Counsel with the Chicago Board of Education, Regional Attorney with the U.S. Department of Education, and Associate with Vedder, Price. Mark earned his undergraduate degree in English from DePaul University in 1988 and his law degree from Notre Dame Law School in 1991.
