Alice Leong is the Head of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) for Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc., Deerfield, Illinois, where she has helped initiate a cross-discipline approach to collaboration on recruitment, engagement and retention efforts to create an integrated roadmap for D&I efforts.
Prior to joining Takeda, her roles included President of ALuminescent Consulting, a firm specializing in intercultural team effectiveness, and Vice President, Head of Global Diversity, at SAP, a large global IT firm. While her experience spans a variety of industries, her passion for diversity and inclusion has been the common thread across her career. Her focus is to drive cultural transformation through the integration of diversity and inclusion into business strategies, talent development and external partnerships with industry peers, government and community to advance long-term cultural change.
Alice is a widely quoted D&I expert and has been interviewed by The Wall Street Journal (U.S.); The Calcalist (Israel); Die Zeit (Germany); Crain’s New York Business (U.S.) and many others. Alice has particular expertise in building programs across geographically dispersed groups.
Alice has lived and studied abroad and has guest lectured on diversity and inclusion both in the U.S. and internationally. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and MBA in International Business from DePaul University in Chicago; and a Master of Science from the London School of Economics in Politics of the World Economy.
