K. Kristann Carey serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel – Beer Division of Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ). Constellation Brands is a leading premium beer, wine and spirits company. Based in Chicago, Constellation’s Beer Division is the #1 beer importer and third-largest beer company in the U.S. The company’s beer portfolio includes Corona Extra (the #1 imported beer in the U.S.), Corona Light (the #1 imported light beer in the U.S.), Modelo Especial (the #2 imported beer in the U.S.), Negra Modelo, Pacifico, Victoria and Tocayo. In December 2015, the company acquired Ballast Point, one of the fastest-growing and most highly-respected craft brewers in the country.

Kris joined Constellation in 2013 as Vice President and Associate General Counsel and in 2016; she assumed her current position leading the Beer Division Legal and Corporate Affairs teams. Her responsibilities include providing guidance on all legal, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance matters affecting the U.S. beer business and brewery operations in Mexico as well as providing leadership related to government affairs at both the state and federal levels. Kris serves as a member of the Beer Division’s management committee, and is active in Constellation’s industry affairs and corporate social responsibility efforts. She serves as Constellation’s representative on the Lawyers Advisory Council of the Beer Institute, the national trade organization representing beer brewers and importers. She also serves as an Advisor in Constellation’s Women’s Leadership Network, a program which provides career development and mentorship to rising women leaders.

From 2005 to 2013, Kris was Senior Counsel with McDonald’s Corporation where she held different responsibilities within the legal department. During her time at McDonald’s, Kris was a member of the Legal Department Diversity Committee and also served a term as Vice-Chair of the McDonald’s Asian Pacific Middle East Employee Network (APMEN) where she helped develop programming to support career advancement for APMEN members throughout the company. In 2006, she was presented with the Presidents’ Award recognizing her as a performer within the top 1% of all employees globally. In 2013, she was nominated by the legal department officers to represent McDonald’s as a Fellow in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows Program.

Prior to joining McDonald’s, Kris was a litigator at Seyfarth Shaw in Chicago where she concentrated her practice on complex commercial, products liability and mass toxic tort litigation. She received her B.A. in Political Science and Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and her J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
