Suzanne S. Bettman began her professional career with the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago, focusing on corporate and securities laws and rising to partner before moving to the corporate world at True North Communications – first as Vice President and Associate General Counsel, then as Executive Vice President and General Counsel.
Following the purchase of True North Communications by The Interpublic Group of Companies, Sue served as Group Managing Director and General Counsel for Huron Consulting Group, then a venture-backed business consulting company, and now a public company, started in March 2002.
Sue joined RR Donnelley in February 2004 and where her most recent title was Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer.
In October 2016, as part of the spin off by RR Donnelley of two of its businesses, Sue became Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of LSC Communications, Inc. where she is also Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer and has responsibility for marketing, human resources, environmental health & safety and risk management.
Sue is a former Chairman of The Chicago Network, a member of the Board of Directors of the Economic Club of Chicago, on the Board of Governors of the Northwestern University Library and the Chairman of the Board of the Sacred Heart Schools of Chicago. She is a member of the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls Board of Regents.
Sue is the recipient of the University of Illinois College of Law Distinguished Alumna Award (2011) and was chosen by Corporate Board Member Magazine as one of their 2011 GC’s To Watch.
