David E. Martin is a Vice President and Sr. Advisor of Enterprise Diversity Strategies -US at BMO Harris Bank. David is accountable for developing Enterprise Diversity strategies focused on Retention, Engagement, and Promotions, in the US for two of our largest lines of business (Retail/Small Business & Commercial) as well as managing the bank’s Enterprise People of Color and Military Veteran Retention/Promotion Strategies.
In this capacity, David develops strategies based on industry best practices of Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and programs. David has been with BMO Harris Bank for 12 years, serving in a variety of leadership roles within our Retail, Treasury Payment Services, and Human Resources divisions in the US.
David also leverages his business and leadership skills by serving on various non-profit organizations.
He currently serves on the Gene Siskel Film Center’s Advisory Council that focuses on programming for diverse segments (LGBTQ, African-American, and Latino/Hispanic) in support of various cultural film festivals throughout the year, as a former Board member for the LGBTQ Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, and supporter of the Legacy Project in Chicago.
David previously served as National Chair of BMO-Harris Bank’s US Pride Employee Resource Group for over 8 years. Under his leadership, membership of the ERG increased significantly and expanded across 5 states through the creation of Chapters.
David holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Benedictine Illinois University and a Master’s Degree of Business from the University of Notre Dame.
