Brian Socall is the Director of College to Careers at Chicago Scholars where he manages the career development services for over 1,500 talented college students from under-resourced neighborhoods of Chicago.
He also manages the Chicago Scholars Alumni Network, providing career leadership development to the city’s next generation of leaders. Before coming to Chicago Scholars, he spent 7 years with buildOn, an international youth development and education organization where he led teams of Chicago Public High School students to build schools on three continents and created leadership, mentoring and career service programs. He is also a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) where he spent 2 years living in a rural fishing village on the coast of Nicaragua doing community & youth development. Brian is an avid traveler and cook, has been to over 25 countries, and has 2 small sons and a wife. He holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Social Justice.
